Details Emerge in Weekend Deaths in Rural Wataga
The Knox County Sheriffs Department has released more details into a weekend party that apparently left two Wataga-area residents dead.

Sheriffs Department officials say deputies and an Illinois State Police were called to 724 Knox Road 2350 North in rural Wataga around 4:50pm Saturday evening after a subject was reported unresponsive. Upon arrival, deputies say they discovered 26-year old Daniel Hall had already died, as he was fully clothed and found lying on a bathroom floor.

Officials later learned that one of the home's occupants, 19-year old Benjamin Fritz, had been taken to a Galesburg hospital by a friend, where he eventually died.

Deputies say no signs of foul play were indicated on either body upon examination.

The two were part of what was described as a large party Friday night at the residence that officials say lasted most of the night, and that neither Hall nor Fritz had been in any altercations or disagreements, but they won't say officially what caused either of their deaths.

An investigation into the deaths continues. Autopsies are scheduled for Monday in Peoria.
