People Watch Inauguration Near Old State Capitol
People will likely remember where they were when they heard or watched President Obama's inaugural speech Tuesday morning. TVs normally tuned to sports were instead showing news channels at places such as Sammy's Sports Bar, near the Old State Capitol in Springfield.

That's where Phil and Ilda McFadden decided to take in the festivities and lunch. They say Obama seems to be a well-read and well-educated president in the style of John F. Kennedy. "Better educated than Lincoln," Phil remarks.

A big screen was set up in the multi-purpose room of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library. Employees and guests had their lunch and applauded the TV. Library services director Kathryn Harris says this is a day to be proud: "As Barack said, it's not Blue America, Red America -- it's the United States of America."
