Blagojevich Gives Closing Argument -- DOWNLOAD IT HERE
It sounded like a campaign speech, except when Gov. Rod Blagojevich kept saying that the Senate didn't have enough evidence to impeach him. The governor Thursday morning took less than hour to appeal to the Illinois Senate, which will likely vote later Thursday afternoon on whether to remove him from office.

Blagojevich told senators that the evidence against him was incomplete and insufficient. The governor says allegations that he was pulling campaign donations from contractors, hospital executives and people interested in the U.S. Senate seat reflect what every politician does.

That didn’t sit well with Senate Minority Leader Christine Rodogno (R-Lemont), who said after the governor's argument that most politicians don't do those things.

Blagojevich also insisted that he will not resign. He says if he thought he had done anything wrong, he would have resigned right after his Dec. 9 arrest on federal corruption charges.
