Quinn Moves Reform Commission to Governor's Office
Gov. Pat Quinn has taken his first official step. Friday, he signed an executive order establishing his Reform Commission as part of his office. Quinn established the 14-member panel a couple of weeks ago in light of the corruption scandal surrounding then-Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Quinn says Illinois' had a "body blow" to state politics and government since Blagojevich's December arrest on federal corruption charges. He says this panel, headed up by former assistant U.S. attorney Pat Collins, hopes to root out corruption and make recommendations within 100 days.

To illustrate his point that Illinois needs integrity, Quinn pulled one of the late Paul Simon's bow ties out of his pocket, and declared that he wants "bow-tie honesty" in state government.
