Oquawka Residents Face Burglary Charges
Two teens accused of breaking into a home in Oquawka and taking items are facing charges related to the incident.

Henderson County Sheriff Mark Lumbeck says 18-year old Jon Peterson and 17-year old Blake Evans, both of Oquawka, were arrested Monday night around 8:00 for residential burglary.

A woman who lives on Third Street in Oquawka told police someone entered her home a removed some things from inside. Lumbeck says deputies recovered several missing items that had been taken from the residence.

Lumbeck says Evans remains held in the Henderson County Jail on $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday. Peterson posted 10% of his $7,500 bond amount and he's also due to make a court appearance on Wednesday.
