Henry County Man Gets 108 Years in Sex Assault Case
CAMBRIDGE, Ill. (AP) -- A Henry County judge has sentenced a Quad Cities-area man to 108 years in prison for the sexual assault of a 7-year old girl.

Circuit Court Judge Ted Hamer imposed the sentence yesterday on 40-year old Scott Hurry of Colona, who was convicted on 10 counts of felony predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.

Hamer said the sentence assures that Hurry will be locked up for the rest of his life.

Henry County State's Attorney Terry Patton said the victim was assaulted multiple times during an 8-month period in 2007, and Hurry allegedly threatened to kill the victim and her mother if she told what had happened.

Hurry had been convicted of at least 10 prior felonies, including criminal sexual assault and unlawful restraint.
