Blago's Brother Asks for Dismissal of Corruption Charges
CHICAGO (AP) -- A defense attorney says the controversial federal law against so-called honest services fraud is so vague that corruption charges against former Gov. Rod Blagojevich's brother should be dismissed.

Attorney Michael Ettinger urged a court Thursday to dismiss the two fraud charges against business executive Robert Blagojevich. Ettinger said the law is so ill defined it allows prosecutors to label almost anything they want as a crime.

Both Blagojevich brothers are charged with scheming to sell or trade President Obama's former Senate seat and improprieties in raising campaign funds.

The law makes it illegal for officials to deny the government the intangible right to their honest services.
