Roseville Residents Circulatioing Petitions for Building Transfer
Roseville residents have been searching for a way to hold onto the vacant Roseville Elementary School.

And they believe an answer may come in the form of an intergovernmental transfer.

Local resident Van Adkisson who supports the idea.

"The village board has a regularly scheduled meeting last Monday(Jan. 3rd), community members attended that to support the village in acquiring that building to be used as a community center here in Roseville. The board discussed it at great length, they adjourned the meeting until Thursday night, January the 6th, and with further discussion and more community input they voted unanimously to pursue the acquisition of the building for use as a community center."

The problem, however, is that 700 signatures are needed before Tuesday night's District Board meeting to proceed.

Adkisson says petitions are circulating throughout the town and is hopeful the deadline, though a tight one, can be met.
