Lincoln Library Realism Moves Students
DECATUR, Ill. (AP) -- For one 7th grader visiting the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, parts of the "Lincoln's Eyes" film are a bit too real.

Although those parts won't be revealed, William Tate of Decatur says parts of the film almost triggered an asthma attack. Students from Stephen Decatur Middle School visited the museum before Christmas.

Realism is a hallmark of the Lincoln museum, which wants visitors to feel they have walked with Lincoln through major events of his life.

Eighth-grader Daija McClellan says she was struck by the wax figures that dot various scenes. She says the wrinkles on their hands, and even the hairs, were so real.

In some ways, Jadah Woods says, she felt as if she'd been a part of historical events during the visit.
