Stolen TV Found at Amtrak Depot
Galesburg police believe they've found the man responsible for a television theft from Walmart Monday.

Officers were called to the Galesburg Walmart Monday afternoon after a report three black males and one black female were exiting the store with a $500 TV without paying for it.

The group allegedly entered a small teal car and drove off in the direction of Seminary Street, but officers were unable to locate the vehicle or its passengers.

Walmart was able to provide the department with video showing a man pushing a cart with the television out the door.

By Thursday evening, police officers were tipped off to a family waiting at the Galesburg Amtrak Depot with the television.

Officers went to the station and confronted a man who had a box covered with a pillow case on a luggage cart.

The man told officers it was a picture frame but upon closer inspection it turned out to be the television.

17-year-old Jahmal Perkins of Galesburg admitted the TV was stolen and was arrested for retail theft over 150 dollars.

A 17-year-old woman with Perkins, Latoya Moss of Galesburg, was also arrested for possession of stolen property.
