Clinic Renovations Planned for Local Hospital
Monmouth's main hospital is about to undergo a multi-million dollar renovation thanks to a grant it's received.
Officials at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth say they've received a two-point-five million dollar grant from the Community Health Foundation of Warren and Henderson Counties, that will allow them to renovate the "F" wing of the hospital -- or, its now-closed long-term care unit -- into new space for the hospital's clinic.
Hospital officials say the Holy Family Clinics had 46-thousand patient visits last year, so the space, which will include 13 new exam rooms, is crucial.
In a statement, hospital C-E-O Patty Luker says the hospital is always looking to grow its services and recruit new providers to the area, and the expansion will help them do that.
The renovations are expected to be complete, the hospital says, by the end of 2012, and will cost in total just over four-million dollars.
