Grand Jury Indicts Robbery Suspects
There wasn't much for a local judge to do when six people all were scheduled to appear in court after last month's robbery of a local liquor store.

The six people allegedly connected to the suspected armed robbery of Grand Liquor last month, along with possibly some of the 18 other such robberies that occurred in town last year, all made appearances in Knox County Circuit Court Tuesday afternoon.

But, court records indicate, all six learned they were indicted by a county grand jury last week.

Three of the six: 18 year old Jekorey Green of Detroit, Michigan; 17 year old Seville Boyd of Galesburg, and 17 year old Shane Tatum of Skokie, all continue to face charges of Armed Robbery Accountability. Another, 20 year old Searcy Boyd of Galesburg, faces and additional charge of Resisting a Police Officer.

The remaining two, 20-year old Albert Prater of of Skokie and 21-year old Bryan Vann of Galesburg, also face three-counts each of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and single counts of Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery and Solicitation.

Police arrested the six following surveillance done on Vann's West Berrien Street home, and say some of the items used in the suspected crimes were found there.

Three of the suspects will be arraigned next Wednesday, while three more will be arraigned a week from Thursday. All remain jailed.
