Galesburg Man Receives Seven Years in Prison for Shooting
The second of two men accused of firing shots at an SUV last summer was sentenced in Knox County Circuit Court Thursday.

19 year old Anthony Alfaro of Galesburg entered a guilty plea to a class one charge of aggravated discharge of a firearm in exchange for the prosecution dropping a class X felony charge of a similar nature.

The plea agreement included seven years behind bars for Alfaro with two years mandatory supervised release.

He was also ordered to pay a fine of 5-thousand dollars and court costs.
Alfaro was arrested last year after firing around six shots at a vehicle with four people inside when a conflict arose between them. No one was hurt.

Xavier Parker was with Alfaro at the time of the incident and received six years in prison for a charge of possession of a handgun by a felon and handing it to Alfaro.
