Wisconsin One Up Over Illinois
(IRN)-Wisconsin boasts pro football supremacy over Illinois. Wisconsin is trying to take businesses away from Illinois. And the head of Illinois Lawsuit Abuse Watch says our neighbors to the north prevail in his field, too.

Travis Akin, the group's executive director, says a new Harris poll ranks Wisconsin 22nd and Illinois 45th when it comes to "legal fairness." He says Wisconsin's not satisfied with that middle of the pack ranking, either, having passed some judicial reforms. Akin says that will only solidify Illinois' standing as "a plaintiff's paradise and a magnet for lawsuits."

Akin says Illinois judges, particularly in Cook, Madison, and St Clair Counties, simply have too much freedom; it's not, he says, a matter of lawyers or juries being inadequate.
