Some IL Candidates Miss Disclosure Deadline
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- More than 100 candidates missed the deadline for disclosing how much money they raised last year and who donated to them.

The Illinois Campaign for Political Reform says most of those candidates ultimately did file reports with the State Board of Elections. Still, the late-filing candidates could be hit with fines.

Among those filing late were Chicago mayoral candidates Carol Moseley Braun and Miguel del Valle.

About three dozen candidates still haven't filed.
One of the candidates who missed the Jan. 20 deadline was Dan Proft, who sought the Republican nomination for Illinois governor last year.

When he did file, his report showed a single donation of $500,000. The money came from a donor who earlier gave Proft $165,000.
