Wind Turbine Tower Maker Adds Jobs in Central IL
CLINTON, Ill. (AP) -- Some new jobs are blowing into central Illinois.

A wind turbine tower manufacturer called Trinity Structural Towers plans to boost production at its plant in Clinton and add up to 60 jobs.

Trinity President Kerry Cole says the expansion will increase production by 15 to 20 percent.

The (Bloomington) Pantagraph reports that the plant ended 2010 with about 174 employees. Officials say the plant will add a third shift this year and hire more welders, painters and other staff.

Cole says the Midwest is the best market for the wind industry in the United States.
DeWitt County Board Chairman Melonie Tilley calls the expansion great news for the county.
