Ballots without Emanuel's Name Locked Up
CHICAGO (AP) -- About 300,000 Chicago mayoral ballots that were printed without Rahm Emanuel's name are to remain locked up in the suburbs.

Chicago Board of Election Commissioners spokesman Jim Allen tells the Chicago Tribune that the ballots are sequestered at a printing company in Waukegan. He says the ballots will ``remain under lock and key right now.''

Emanuel was taken off the ballot by a decision of Illinois appeals judges, but then reinstated by the Illinois Supreme Court.

Allen says the board doesn't know what will happen in the future to the ballots without Emanuel's name.

Emanuel is a former congressman from Illinois and former chief of staff to President Barack Obama.
