GOP Could Loose A Congressional Seat After Maps Drawn
(IRN)-Republicans could find themselves down a seat in Congress when the business of redrawing district maps is over.

Republican congressman, U.S. Representative Aaron Schock, hopes that he and other Republicans are invited to the table when it comes to redistricting, but he acknowledges that the maps will be made by those that are in the majority, Democrats.

"I hope at the end of the day that the population densities and make up of the entire state … be take into consideration and that Illinois is not the laughing stock of the nation in terms of gerrymandering our state," Schock said.

Schock adds that making districts bigger would not be beneficial to constituents as it makes it harder for a congressman home for the weekend to visit the entire district.
