City of Galesburg Preparing for Snowstorm
The city of Galesburg is making plans to deal the with large amounts of snow expected Tuesday and Wednesday.

Public Works Director Larry Cox tells WGIL schedules will be a little different for snow crews for this storm.

"Basically we have all our equipment prepared as well always do this time of year in preparation of a storm, but we're making some special arrangements to make sure our crews have adequate rest times and we're able to continue with the operations as long as it takes."

Cox says crews will be working around the clock to clear roads and to expects a snow emergency to be issued Monday night or early Tuesday.

For Galesburg residents that means removing cars parked along city streets.
