Emanuel to Talk About Crime in Chicago
CHICAGO (AP) -- Former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel is expected to outline his plan to address crime and guns in Chicago.

Sunday will mark the mayoral candidate's second major policy speech. He's promised three in all.

Emanuel and other major candidates vying to replace retiring Chicago Mayor Richard Daley have said they won't renew the contract of Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis. His contract expires in March.

Emanuel has said the department needs a fresh start.
The former congressman from Chicago's North Side outlined his plan for education last month. In February, Emanuel will talk about the city's finances and economic growth.

Other major candidates in the race include former U.S. Senator Carol Moseley Braun, former Chicago public schools president Gery Chico and City Clerk Miguel del Valle.
