CSC Grad Returns Home to Sell Product
Five months ago Josh Knuth was selling his products out of his Florida garage, today he's managing a distribution facility on the grounds of where he attended college.

The Carl Sandburg College Alumnus was officially welcomed into the Business and Technology Center Wednesday morning. His business, Alan Environmental, specializes in water treatment for municipalities and industrial companies.

When juggling whether to set up shop in Florida or back home in Galesburg, Knuth tells WGIL he found relief in the BTC.

"The mayor and his team have bent over backwards to help me, I stuck my hand out and said, 'guys I need a little help,' and they came running," Knuth said. "With Sherry (Foster) here at the BTC, they really pointed me in the right direction, and helped me put this thing together."

"I really have to give them a lot of credit because they really, truly helped me."

Alan Environmental is already operating it's distribution services with a staff of five people.

Knuth says he's looking to grow his pool of consumers in Illinois, Florida, and Iowa, along with hiring more employees.

Mayor Sal Garza says there's pressure on Knuth to succeed, but says he believes in the product and service.
