Two Lives Lost in Separate Fatal Accidents Friday
Illinois State Police say two separate single vehicle accidents Friday claimed the lives of two.

They say 20-year-old Ali A. Alfaraj, of Macomb, died after 5 A-M Friday morning when his Ford Mustang skidded off 40th Avenue in Warren County. According to a news release, Alfaraj’s vehicle cleared a ditch and rolled several times into a field, ejecting him 100 feet from the Mustang.

Troopers say alcohol was not a factor, but say they’re unsure of what time the crash actually happened.

More than twelve hours later, State Police say a 14-year-old died in a McDonough County crash on County Road 2000 East.

Records show Macomb’s Remington Neeley was pronounced dead at the scene around 6:40pm when the driver, 17-year-old Kasarah Riden of Bushnell, struck a grain bin. The vehicle reportedly went airborne before coming to rest upside down.

Reports indicate both were trapped inside the Chevy Impala and had to extracted by Bushnell Fire and Rescue. Troopers say Riden suffered major injuries and was taken to St. Francis in Peoria. Her current condition is unknown.

Troopers say both accidents were a result of the drivers losing control because of the snowy and wet conditions.
