| Galesburg Men Identified in Downtown Mobile Meth Lab Discovery |
Two Galesburg men are facing numerous methamphetamine-related charges after authorities discovered an alleged active meth-lab in their vehicle Wednesday. Galesburg Police say 20-year-old Tyler Allbright was the driver of the Honda Civic that was pulled over by police after rolling through a red light at the corner of South Cherry Street and East Simmons after 10am. Records indicate a search of the vehicle turned up a box of 96 red pseudoephedrine pills, a coffee-pill grinder with white powder residue, and a baggy containing 0.6 grams of suspected meth. Reports also show Allbright advised authorities to be careful because there was "bad stuff," in the vehicle. Authorities called upon the services of the Illinois State Police Meth Response Team. Police say an anhydrous ammonia tank was retrieved from the vehicle. Allbright told police him and 27 year old Galesburg man Corice Wright had just picked it up. Wright, the passenger of the vehicle, is being charged with possession of meth. Meanwhile Allbright is being charged with meth production, possession of meth precursors and possession of meth manufacturing materials. He's also facing charges of transporting anhydrous ammonia in an unauthorized container. Both men are awaiting a court appearance.
