School Board Approves Bid Process
Its been a work in progress for the last two years but the New Knoxville High School Project is over another major hurdle.

At Tuesday nights school board meeting the board unanimously approved for Architects BLDD to publish the bids for the High School construction project.

The board had a quick discussion and doubled checked some of the changes made to the final design.

Owner Representative Chris Tyra told the board he's confident the bids will attract much wanted attention.

"I would say as far as the market goes it's good timing. I'v talked to several people who have just been waiting for it to come available and I don't have a great relationship with general contractors but I'm going to make some calls to make sure they're aware of it. When I talked to an Executive Director of Building and Trades he knew about it and I told him to make sure that everybody's away of it, but I expect to get quite a few bids coming."

Once bids start coming in the Board will then review them and decided what bids they'd like to go with.

Bids are due by March 7th so the Board can approve the final bid on March 14th.
