Police Make Another Big Pot Bust at Amtrak Depot
UPDATED 1/25/13 Galesburg Police have a San Francisco, California man in custody as the result of another drug arrest at the Galesburg Amtrak Depot.

Galesburg Police were waiting on the California Zephyr train as part of the police department's ongoing drug interdiction efforts at the depot.

Officers performed a search on 28-year old Robert Murray's luggage, one of which had a padlock, after he cut through the crowd upon seeing officers.

According to the report, Murray's hands were trembling while speaking to Galesburg Police out of nervousness.

After taking Murray to the Public Safety Building, the K-9 unit was brought in and gave a positive detection.

Eleven bundles of individually marked cannabis was found -- weighing 5,400 grams, or about 12-pounds. Officers also noted coffee and an air-freshener were allegedly in the bag to conceal the scent.

Murray was taken to the Knox County Jail and faces Class-X felony counts of Manufacture or Delivery of Cannabis, and Cannabis Trafficking, along with a lesser felony count of Possession of Cannabis.

Court records indicate bond has been set at $100,000, and a new court date has been set for Monday -- his first appearance with a Public Defender.
