City Bids Farewell To Davila
After 25 years of service with the City of Galesburg secretary for the Galesburg Chief of Police Margo Davila is retiring.

Davila who was born and raised in Galesburg started her career with the Galesburg Police Department back in 19-87 as communication clerk dispatcher.

She later switched gears from working as a dispatcher and made the move to the Finance Department for the City of Galesburg where she spent ten year before returning to the Galesburg Police Department.

Davila tells WGIL in her 25 years she's been able to learn so much from the people around her.

"I've had experience in many different areas and I'm grateful for those experiences because every supervisor that I had, had a different leadership style and I learned so much from each one of my supervisors," says Davila.

Davila was treated to a luncheon in her honor.

Her husband, children, grandchildren, niece and sister were all in attendance.

She says she's looking forward to taking time to spend with her family especially her father who's been sick as well as being able to volunteer more.
