Two Arrested After Suspected Meth Lab Discovered in East Galesburg
A search of an East Galesburg home Thursday morning resulted in the arrests of two people on methamphetamine-related charges.

A report from the Knox County Sheriff's Department says agents with the Multi-County Drug Enforcement Group, county deputies, state police and the East Galesburg Police Department executed a search warrant at 103 North State Street around 5 a-m. Authorities say they found an active meth lab when they got inside and seized 6 grams of finished methamphetamine, manufacturing material and cash.

Arrested were 22-year old Torrie Hillier and 33-year old Shannon Porter, both of the North State Street residence. The two are charged with methamphetamine conspiracy, possession of between 5 and 15 grams of meth, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of meth manufacturing materials.

Hillier and Porter remain held in the Knox County Jail awaiting court appearances, and police say their investigation continues.
