Knox College Ranks Among 50 Best Values in Kiplinger's Personal Finance
Knox College's ability to provide a high caliber college education at an affordable price has been recognized by Kiplinger's Personal Finance, which has ranked Knox among the top 50 Best Values in private liberal arts colleges in America.

Knox is 43rd among the "Kiplinger's 100," in rankings published in the February 2009 issue of Kiplinger's and posted on the www.kiplinger.com web site.

"Today's economic conditions mean that students and families are looking for value, and Knox is a leader in delivering educational quality at a reasonable cost," said Paul Steenis, Dean of Admission and Vice President of Enrollment.

"Specifically, Kiplinger's noted the academic strength of Knox students, their access to faculty and their high graduation rates. That's combined with financial aid and scholarship awards that put Knox within reach of families," Steenis said. Data compiled by Kiplinger's show that more than 80% of Knox students receive financial aid, including both need-based aid assistance and merit scholarships.

"Families hit by the economic downturn may feel that private colleges are out of their financial reach," said Kiplinger's Editor Janet Bodnar. "But they will be surprised by our findings. Most of the top-notch schools on the Kiplinger 100 offer generous financial aid packages."

Knox College also has been nationally ranked by Barron's Best Buys in College Education, the Fiske Guide to Colleges, U.S. News & World Report and Princeton Review; and is one of just 40 colleges recognized in Loren Pope's renowned book "Colleges That Change Lives."
