Blago Lawyer Okay With FBI Tapes Being Played
Ex-Gov Rod Blagojevich wants the whole world to hear the federal tapes in his corruption trial, and his lawyers think it's a good idea.

In a move he says he has never seen in a court case, attorney Sam Adam Jr., stands behind the ousted governor's decision to waive the right to try to suppress the secret tapes of his conversations as evidence.

"If we're talking about fairness here and we're talking about a governor who is charged as seriously as he's charged, why wouldn't the government agree to it?" Adam questioned. "Why hide behind their lawyers. Let's come out here and play the tapes."

Adam went on to say that Blagojevich and his legal team have listened to all 500 hours of recordings made by federal investigators and he says the tapes will prove Blagojevich's innocence.

Blagojevich appeared in court Wednesday in Chicago where he pleaded not guilty to revised charges. He told reporters he won't ask the judge to prevent jurors from hearing FBI tapes of his telephone conversations and he challenged the government to play all of the tapes involved in the investigation.
