State Budget Goes Online Wednesday -- LINK AVAILABLE HERE
Beginning Wednesday, you'll be able to see where the state has been financially and where it's headed.

You will even be able to leave comments and suggestions, according to Gov. Pat Quinn, who calls the information going online, a "basic outline."

"We want to have a lot of public comment," Quinn said. "This is using electronic democracy. With the internet now you can engage people, people can learn about the basic concepts and than give their point of view, their two cents."

Quinn praised Senate President John Cullerton (D-Chicago) and House Speaker Michael Madigan (D-Chicago) for coming up with the concept.

The website will contain "preliminary Fiscal Year 2011 revenues and expenditures" and goes live at noon Wednesday.

Quinn will deliver his budget address March 10th in Springfield. He says the state must make additional cuts, borrow money, make the most of federal dollars and find additional revenue to attempt to balance the state's budget.
