Blago Lawyers Refused Prosecution Trial Plans
CHICAGO (AP) -- A federal judge has ruled attorneys for former Gov. Rod Blagojevich can't have an early look at government plans for conducting his corruption trial.

Judge James Zagel said Monday that Blagojevich's lawyers relied on what he called a blunderbuss approach and rhetorical flourishes instead of legal principles in asking for an early look at the evidence against the ex-governor.

Zagel said what the attorneys really want is not just an early look at the evidence but an order forcing prosecutors to tip their hand as to their trial strategy.

Blagojevich is charged with scheming to sell or trade President Obama's old U.S. Senate seat and a variety of political fundraising abuses.
