Galesburg Meth Suspects Make Brief Court Apperances
Tuesday was supposed to be the day four Galesburg residents were have preliminary hearings for an alleged meth bust in Galesburg.

The four, 27 year old Chad Vanvoltenburg, 49 year old Christine Vanvoltenburg, 23 year old Amy Vanvoltenburg, and 21 year old Ashley Wilson, were all arrested last month at their home on Tamarind Drive and each accused of multiple meth related charges.

Their preliminary hearings were continued until next week at the states request, as an Officer with the Mulit-County Enforcement Group was not available to attend the hearing to testify.

Now the preliminary hearings for each of the four are scheduled for Monday, February 14th at 2:00 p.m.

Amy Vanvoltenburg was also scheduled for a bond reduction hearing Tuesday. That was able to take place and her public defender Karl Johnson requested on her behalf for a reduction in bail, which is currently set at $250,000 dollars.

Apparently, Vanvoltenburg was hoping to make bail Tuesday or today in order to attend a different court hearing regarding her two year old son.
