Quad Cities Couple Faces Pot Charges in Knox County
Two Quad Cities residents are jailed there after marijuana was allegedly found in their home, and likely face similar charges here in Knox County.

That's according to a report in the Moline Dispatch and Rock Island Argus. The papers say 33 year olds Thomas Green and Nicole Smith, both of Milan, were arrested early last week after a search of their home by Milan Police and Quad Cities Metropolitan Enforcement Group Agents allegedly turned up 1,8000 grams of cannabis, a handgun, and packaging material.

The two face charges of Manufacture and Delivery of Cannabis and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and charges of Child Endangerment, since the couple's two and five year old children were believed to be in the home.

The Dispatch/Argus says the discovery led to a home in the 100 block of Willard Street in Wataga, where what MEG agents described as an indoor pot growing operation was found.

Quad Cities and Peoria MEG Agents, along with Knox County Sheriffs Deputies, allegedly found 180 cannabis plants valued at 360,000$ dollars.

A Knox County arrest warrant was believed to be issued, but it's not clear what Green and Smith would be charged with.

Smith posted bond and was released from the Rock Island County Jail, while the Dispatch/Argus says Green is still being held on 50-thousand dollars bond.
