Galesburg Residents Brace for Blizzard
Galesburg residents were out in droves Tuesday morning trying to beat the heavy snowfall.

Hardware and grocery stores were full of people stocking up with food and supplies.

Sheris Wells of Galesburg was stocking up for the next couple days and tells WGIL it reminds her of her childhood.

"It reminds me of when I was a kid, I can remember those old winters."

Wells adds, that aside from a full pantry, she's ready if power should go out.

"To prepare, well we've candles, we've got kerosene lamps, we've got batteries, and radios with batteries."

The General Manager of Menards says guest traffic picked up in the store Monday with people purchasing generators, snow melt, and shovels.
