Knox Names Amott President
After spending nine months conducting a nation wide search, the Knox College Board of Trustees announced a new President.

Teresa L. Amott was named the new President of Knox College Monday, and the first woman to hold the position.

Amott realizes that fundraising will be a challenge for the college, but she is ready to take that on.

"The settings in which I've done fundraising have all been settings in which I've loved the mission for which I was seeking funds. So whether it's the Boys and Girls Club in Geneva New York, which serves 400 economically challenged kids -- great kids need everything you can give them, or whether it's a college that depends on the generosity of others."

Amott added that no matter the organization, "if you believe in the cause, its easy to do that."

She will take over for current president Roger Taylor in July.
