Chicago Mayor to Take to Road, Make Speeches
CHICAGO (AP) -- Chicago Mayor Richard Daley says he has an agent to book paid speeches after he leaves office.

The Harry Walker Agency sets speaking engagements for a roster of public figures that include President Clinton, cyclist Lance Armstrong and rock star Bono.

Daley said Tuesday he will talk about decision-making, leadership and government in both the U.S. and internationally.

Although Daley says he doesn't know how much he will be paid for his speeches, spokeswoman Jacquelyn Heard says other Harry Walker clients can receive up to $50,000 per appearance.

Because of his unique style of speaking, Daley has a reputation of garbling his message with an occasional malapropism. He noted Tuesday he has traveled frequently on behalf of the city, adding through his speeches he will continue to advocate for Chicago.
