Drew Peterson Hearing Being Telecast Live
OTTAWA, Ill. (AP) -- Although Drew Peterson won't attend a hearing on a hearsay law affecting his upcoming murder trial, a live television camera will be there.

For the first time in Illinois history, the Third District Appellate Court is allowing Wednesday's oral arguments to be broadcast live.

Following a request by Chicago's WGN-TV, media outlets will share a video feed from a single camera in the back of the Ottawa courtroom. The Chicago Tribune intends to stream the proceedings on its website.

The two sides will be arguing over prosecutors' efforts to admit 13 so-called hearsay statements at the 57-year-old former Bolingbrook police officer's trial for the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. Peterson remains a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, but has not been charged.
