Stark County Cat Survives Being Shot in Head with Arrow
TOULON, Ill. (AP) -- A central Illinois cat owner says she may change the animal's name from Jynx to Lucky after he survived being shot in the head with an arrow this week.

Sadie DeWolfe of Toulon says the young tomcat snuck out of the house Friday and returned about three hours later with the arrow still in his head.

The arrow didn't penetrate his skull, but the wound did require surgery.

DeWolfe tells the (Peoria) Journal-Star that she expects the 2 1/2-year-old cat to make a full recovery.

The family named their black cat Jynx because he was adopted around Halloween. But DeWolfe says a name change may be in order.

And she says he won't be allowed outside anymore.

No suspects are in custody in connection with the shooting.
