Bond Set at $1 Million in Armed Robbery
PEORIA, Ill. (AP) -- Authorities say a South Peoria man is being held on $1 million bond in the shooting of two employees during the armed robbery of a gyros restaurant.

A Peoria County Circuit Court judge imposed the bond Wednesday when 20-year-old Tyshontis Campbell appeared on charges of armed robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm.

Such a high bond is usually reserved for murder charges, but Assistant Peoria County State's Attorney Dave Kenny tells the (Peoria) Journal Star that Campbell has a lengthy criminal history. Kenny did not say whether Campbell has an attorney.

Campbell is accused of being one of two men who robbed the gyros shop Monday night.
One employee was shot in the chest during the robbery and another was shot in the leg as he fled.
