Representatives Hold Town Hall Meeting
Saturday at Spoon River College in Macomb was an eventful day for Representative Bobby Schilling and U.S. Senator Mark Kirk.

A town hall style meeting was held to gather the concerns of the people in the Macomb area.

Representative Schilling made it clear to the public that he would love to have any ideas that could lead to solutions in the future.

"So there's gonna be some really tough decisions that all of us have to make, and the thing that I want to invite everyone here is that our phone lines are always on if you have any ideas, suggestions, things that will help us make this a better country. You need to call and get involve with this process because we are in a lot of trouble..."

Kirk also told the public that he is working closely along with Representative Schilling on solving local issues and taking those ideas to Washington, D.C.

Both officials conveyed that a town hall meeting is the best way to reach their public.
