Child Advocacy Center will Open Satellit Office in Warren County
A new satellite office for the Knox County Child Advocacy Center will open up in the next couple months in Monmouth.

Executive Director Becky Rossman tells WGIL the organization serves more than just Knox County and need a better way to reach children in those areas.

"The reason we are having a satellite office in Monmouth Illinois is we can,... we already provide services to Warren and Henderson County but this will make services more accessible to kids who have transportation issues, kind of break some of the barriers so all kids can receive the services they need."

Rossman says Warren and Henderson Counties are now providing funding for the child advocacy center which makes the additional Monmouth office possible.

Rossman says to begin with, the office will be used for scheduled forensic interviews with children and law enforcement officials, but they hope to have the office accredited in the future and actually man the office with employees.

The new office will be at 216 South Main Street in Monmouth.
