Two Accused of Stealing Copper and Other Items
Two Knox County residents are accused of breaking into a garage and stealing a number of items that they believe could have been used to attempt to steal a metal.

The Knox County Sheriffs Department says 21-year old Brett Fry of Galesburg, and 37-year old Lee Poulson of Knoxville, have been arrested and face charges of Burglary, Theft of Governmental Property, and Criminal Trespass to Land.

Deputies were believed to be first alerted to the thefts around January 25th, when Fry's vehicle was allegedly spotted at the Wolf Covered Bridge. Subjects were allegedly seen there trying to burn the coating off some copper wire in that area.

A day later, deputies were dispatched to a garage on U-S 150 for an earlier burglary, where an aluminum wheel, 35 steel posts, tools, and an arc welder were taken.

Deputies say surveillance cameras were installed, showing the same vehicle at the garage again earlier this month.

Fry and Poulson are being held in the Knox County Jail pending future court appearances.
