Local Soil Clean-Up Business Given Green Light in Florida
A local company has been cleared for business in the state of Florida.

In a news release issued by Galesburg's Entrepreneurs, Business, and Innovation Network, Global Strategies Director Gary Camarano says Cross-Fire Soil Remediation was recently awarded an acceptance letter from Department of Environmental Protection in Florida to conduct business in the sunshine state.

Cross-Fire efficiently cleans up contaminated soil beneath gas stations and oil transfer terminals.

CEO Tom Maleck thanks Camarano and the EBI Network for guiding his business. According to the release, the Galesburg native has been able to see Cross-Fire in a whole new light. He says the EBI Network-sponsored workshops have given him new direction.

Cross-Fire was recently recognized as a 2011 Chicago Innovation Awards Finalist for its revolutionary technology in cleaning contaminated property.

It's unknown when Maleck may begin servicing sites in Florida.
