Chocolatefest Attracts Sweets Lovers
The Galesburg Historical society was having their biggest fundraiser of the year on Sunday.

The 27th annual Chocolatefest brought in about 7 tables of chocolaty goods with a few extra tables in case you needed something to wash it down.

Guests packed the third floor of the Galesburg antiques mall where servers in tuxedos served everything from brownies to chocolate chilli.

Chairman of the festival Marge Edlen tells WGIL the chocolate was all donated by the public.

"We are so so totally grateful for all of the local, public that donate their chocolate and the businesses. Everyone is so generous and we've probably had twenty five, thirty new people donating chocolate this year and we've probably had two hundred people who have never been here."

Prizes were given out including several chocolate sculptures donated to fund the historical society.

Money raised from Chocolatefest goes toward keeping their museum in the Galesburg Antique Mall and to establish a new scholarship.
