Residents Stock Up and Ready For Storm
Despite waking up to inches of snow and no sign of it stopping some Galesburg residents took the time to head over to the Galesburg Hi-Lo to stock up on a few items.

Hi-Lo Store Manager Jeff Jefferson says he was very surprised to see so many people braving the bad weather and coming into the store.

He tells WGIL it's really a mix of items flying off the shelves and people are making sure they have plenty of stuff.

"It's really a mix of everything, everyone always grabs the staples - you know, the bread, the milk but they're grabbing some cart loads of stuff today I think they're afraid they're going to be snowed in for a while," says Jefferson.

Jefferson says the store was prepared for the rush of people.

He says they track the weather as do the vendors who supply the store.

Jefferson says they've had a steady flow of people from last night through today and is sure they'll get another rush around the five o'clock hour.

He says they have enough people working today and have no intentions of closing early.
