Man Faces Drug Charges Pleads Not Guilty
A California man in jail in Knox County ever since he was caught getting off an Amtrak train with a large amount of drugs has pleaded not guilty.

28 year old Robert Murray made the plea during an arraignment hearing Wednesday, through public defender Jim Harrell, and also asked for a trial by jury.

Murray was arrested in late-January, after police doing drug interdiction efforts at the Galesburg Amtrak Depot spotted Murray leaving a train, but allegedly acting nervously.

A police K-9 reportedly helped officers discover 11 individually-wrapped bundles of cannabis, weighing around 12 pounds, along with coffee and an air freshener, all inside some luggage.

Murray faces charges of Manufacture or Delivery of Cannabis, Cannabis Trafficking, and Possession of Cannabis.

A pre-trial hearing in Murray's case is scheduled for June 3rd.

He remains held in the Knox County Jail on 100-thousand dollars bond in the meantime.
