Women's Lifestyles Fair Wednesday at Monmouth College
An event that is now annual celebrating women and businesses owned and operated by women, is focusing this year on one of the most important health problems they may ever face.

Wednesday is the second annual Women's Lifestyles Fair hosted by the Monmouth-based Women's Opportunity Network. Organizer Linda Lee Blaine says this year's focus is cancer awareness and prevention.

Blaine tells WGIL one of the ways to help do that will be a way that attendees will be urged to search for information on one type of cancer. "(The Warren County Health Department) will be doing a scavenger hunt, which is basically to find information about breast cancer," Blaine said. "The answers will be scattered throughout the booths, and every person that completes the scavenger hunt is entered into a drawing for our grand prize."

Blaine says a representative of the Quad Cities division of the American Cancer Society will also give a keynote address, and nearly five-dozen exhibitors will be on hand to show their wares.

The Women's Lifestyles Fair will be Wednesday from 11am until 2pm at Glennie Gym in Monmouth College's Huff Athletic Center. Admission is free.
