Monmouth College's Big Gift
The Maple Leaf Community Concert Series (MLCCS) has received a $12,000 gift from Monmouth College.

The check was presented Friday by Monmouth College president Mauri Ditzler. Representing MLCCS were its president, George Brinkmann; finance committee co-chairs Stan Jenks and Betty McBride; treasurer Don Kettering; and treasurer-elect Dan Ashton.

Monmouth College and the greater Monmouth community enjoy a historic and close relationship, said Ditzler, and the college is committed to supporting and enhancing that relationship through cooperative ventures such as the Maple Leaf Community Concert Series.

He added, "It is our goal to provide a rich educational and cultural environment for all citizens in the Monmouth area."

Monmouth College has supported the MLCCS, which annually brings an array of world-class musicians and performers to its stage, since its inception 18 years ago. The college hosts the concerts in the Kasch Performance Hall of its Dahl Chapel and Auditorium, and there is no charge to the MLCCS organization for the use of the facility.

The current season will conclude with a performance by the Mantini Sisters on April 30.
