Change in Location for Galesburg Easter Egg Hunts Sunday
The location for the Sunday, March 29, 2009, Easter egg hunts sponsored by Hy-Vee and the City of Galesburg Recreation Division have been changed to Lakeside Recreation Facility, 1033 S. Lake Storey Road. Both of the Easter egg hunts, the traditional hunt at 1:00 pm for the younger kids and the Nite Lite hunt at 7:15 pm for the older kids are Easter Eggstravaganzas for the young people and sure to create memories for a lifetime. There will be 12,000 colorful eggs filled with candy and prizes given away this Sunday. Grand prize bicycles may be won also along with many other prizes. Bring your Easter basket to fill with candy and eggs. These events are free to all area youth. Come early to find your age appropriate group for these Easter Egg Hunts.

The egg hunt for 2 yrs through 4th grade will be at 1:00 pm. Parents should bring their cameras for a photo with the Easter Bunny who will be hopping around during this event. WGIL and 92.7 The Laser will be on site doing the official countdown. Youth will be divided into different age groups.

Older kids, 5th - 6th grades, will participate in the Nite Lite Easter Egg Hunt at 7:15 pm. Bring a flashlight. 105.3 KFM will be on site and will lead the official countdown.
