Brady Takes "Victory Tour"
Bloomington State Senator Bill Brady, the newly-minted GOP nominee for Governor campaigned in an 8-city fly-around the state on Monday. Brady called his fly-around a "Victory Tour."

During the fly-around he attempted to tie Governor Pat Quinn to disgraced former Governor Rod Blagojevich. He also tried to combat attacks on him from Democrats who say he's too extreme.

Brady, who is pro-life and opposed to gay marriage has been the nominee for just a few days...but already he finds he has to defend himself against attacks from the other party that he is too extreme.

Brady has introduced a proposed constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage and civil unions.

He says the campaign will be about jobs, not social issues like abortion or gay marriage.

The GOP nominee for governor also seems to be backing away from a plan he earlier embraced that called for a ten percent across the board budget cut. Now he's embracing a plan to cut more deeply from some program while sparing others.
